The Mountain Research Center culture collections (CIMOCC) is a Portuguese biological resource center and a service that provides support to R&D activities of Portuguese and foreign researchers.
This collection comprises strains of bacterial, yeast and filamentous fungi isolated from regional important plant crop cultivars and food. These microorganisms were isolated from the surface (epiphytes) and internal (endophytes), several considered to be beneficial for plants, but also phyto- and foodborne pathogens.
The collection is located at Mountain Research Center of Polytechnic Institute of Bragança.
